We know that successful statewide campaigns help down ballot campaigns win, and successful down ballot campaigns help statewide campaigns win. But for too long, Democrats running for down ballot offices have been on their own. Blue Texas is changing that. 

While we will not be involved in competitive primary elections, we are providing some resources right now that are available to any Democrat in the state.

We’re also currently providing data analysis, interactive tools, and dashboards created by the Texas Majority PAC data team to Democratic candidates, elected officials, county party officers/staff, organization/campaign staff, and consultants (who exclusively work for Democrats).

After the primary, we will offer significantly expanded services to Democrats up and down the ticket, including things like:

• Field Organizing: Blue Texas will run a statewide voter contact program that candidates can plug into. We will have staff in key regions to run in-person block walks and phone banks, and a team of distributed organizers who will organize volunteers in counties where we don’t have in-person staff. We will run paid field organizing programs in major population hubs that candidates can plug into. 
• Texting: We will send texts to identify supporters and share the results with campaigns. We will also use text messages to recruit volunteers to events and remind people to vote.
• Media booking: Our staff will get candidates booked on interviews with media outlets to build their public profiles.
• Cost-sharing deals: We will negotiate contracts with vendors to bring prices down for all Texas clients who use them. 
• Data: We will share data collected by the Blue Texas program, so that it can be used to enhance all campaigns. We will also conduct research and polling, create dashboards and reports, and conduct other analysis where it can help Democrats run better campaigns.
