TMP invests in partners running voter engagement and turnout programs in an effort to bring their work to the scale required to win statewide office in Texas.
Summary of Position:
Texas Majority PAC is seeking a VAN Administrator to join our team. This role will serve as a general assistant to the Data Director and work with other team members to advance our data program that focuses on driving increased Democratic voter turnout in Texas. Specifically, the VAN Admin will support our statewide organizing and campaign services program by working directly with county parties and campaigns TMP partners with. They will use VAN to create lists, set up MiniVAN campaigns, save scripts, set up syncs, handle day-to-day data needs, and field support and trouble shooting requests from partners. Successful execution of this role will help Texas county parties and campaigns use their resources in the most efficient manner to target the right voters and win races from the top of the ticket to the down ballot.
The ideal candidate has worked in a data position on a campaign and has experience with VAN/VoteBuilder, though we will also consider candidates who don’t have prior VAN experience but are tech-fluent and quick learners. The best candidate will be organized and detail-oriented. The candidate should be comfortable with providing training and support to fellow staff members, campaigns, volunteers, and county parties across the state. This role will require lots of patience and a great attitude, as they will be repeating tasks and answering the same questions over and over; this is a customer service oriented role. Above all, they should be a team player with a deep commitment to turning Texas blue.

- Set up API connections
- Cut turf
- Act as frontline support for troubleshooting VAN help requests
